This beer was born in 2015, when Reggie (an Eyre Peninsula local) and MC (PL Co-Founder) met at the Gilbert Street Hotel.
Reggie liked our pale, MC was big on oysters, so they established a trade agreement that would keep both parties satiated…indefinitely.
As for the brew, it contains Franklin Harbour Oyster Co. oysters – direct form Reggie’s home town of Cowell. The meat and brine went into the whirlpool along with a broth made from water and crushed shells.
The additions bring untold richness and decadence to the beer, which is brewed using a combination of Pale, Munich, Biscuit, Chocolate and Roasted malts.
