Pina Colada Sour

ABV: 4.6% 

It’s good to see a sour surface in an ocean of hazy b’day beers. This Pina Colada inspired fruit bomb dropped back in ‘23: The brainchild of PL Brewers, Cam and Steve.   

Each five thousand litre batch boasts 800kg of pineapple puree, four unique pale malts, and a decoration of Enigma hops. All bounce nicely from the coconut additions, which present creamy and familiar in the glass.  

Verdant yeast (the microbial catalyst responsible for many a PL brew) thrusts things into tantalising terrain. Ahem, a top five spot is serious business, people.  

Soft yellow hues accompany a tropical bouquet – it really does ring true of the iconic cocktail. On the palate, find refreshing tartness and a swift pine-lime character late.  

Malt: Pale Malt, Wheat Malt, Caradex, Acidulated Malt 

Hops: Enigma
