As you can see, we’ve got a thing for ‘doubling up’ our recipes. This likely stems from launching Pirate Life with an 8.8% IIPA – we’ve never shied away from flavour, and that’s why top stop has us smiling from ear to ear.
Along with dialling up the doses, we replaced Taiheke hops with Amarillo - an ode to South Coast’s maiden iteration, the Light House Pale. Nostalgia aside, it’s a punchier variety, and cuts through the extra with ease.
The malt bill’s the same (there’s just more of it) and we’ve stuck with Verdant Ale Yeast. After all, it’s not a South Coast without those stone fruit esters.
Expect luminous hues and a sturdy haze. Aromas of citrus and peach waft from the collar, which settles fluffy and white. To drink, it’s fruity and plush, with pleasant bitterness and oodles of juicy vibes.
Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.
