This Parti-Gyle Black IPA is dark, aromatic, and combines a hefty malt bill with four international hop varieties.
It was crafted from the second runnings of our Imperial Breakfast Stout. What does that mean exactly? Well, after making a rich and flavoursome wort, we took the ‘really sweet stuff’ and made a stout, then took the ‘not as sweet stuff’ and made this one. Pretty nifty.
It pours black, with a tan head of foam. Expect aromas of pine and citrus, with contrasting notes of coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, you’ll find roasty espresso, mint slice, and a good lick of bitterness.
