Brewed with a blend of oats and pale + roasted malt, this 7.2% stout is built for the cooler months.
Hot-side hop additions of Fuggles and EKG add bitterness and earthy notes, but like most stouts, the grain takes centre stage.
It pours black, with a tan collar. Expect aromas of dark chocolate, espresso and brown bread. On the palate, more coffee, cocoa nib and a lick of brandy snap late.
Pair with pastrami on rye and a bowl of choccy pudding – preferably next to a campfire. Just saying…
